Teacher Meeting: At WE Library
Here's the deal on the Teacher Meeting tomorrow. We were told Dr. Aleman wouldn't mind if parents came and he could talk to them as well. So most of us are going. We want to hear what Dr. Aleman says. Like we said, we'll post what we hear right here in the afternoon. But if you're coming down, it's going to start at 11 AM at Washington Elementary in the Library. It's a good time to check out the school too, if you haven't seen it.

Thanks to the committee for letting us know who you are and supplying info on the Thur meeting, Unfortunately I have a sick 4 year old so may not be able to attend. I think the larger number of parents there, the better we can say "yes, we want this, and yes what can I do to help". Having said that, please add my name to the help list, and am looking forward to meeting everyone.Karen Rolfe

What a great meeting...I'm sure one of the Action Committee members will "re-cap" for those who didn't attend.

I wanted to know what happened to the other comments sent yesterday. I heard from Jill Moses who attended the meeting. There is a good chance that the middle school will have 3 of the teachers who were on the original team,Cara, Jill, and Kristine. So if any of the middle school parents are interested please fill out an application form. Also you may want to rethink the Harborside Academy at Washington. I am concerned with the acronym HAW
Sorry Jinny, I didn't get to your comments because I was waiting to see what happened at today's meeting. The Middle School -- yes, Ms. Moses, Ms. Schneid were there and Ms. Hetrick is very interested but was unable to attend. I think now they need to see numbers in those grades (via District forms) but also they are interested in recruiting new students as well. Still, on the subject of Middle School, it's still up in the air, but they are working on it and Dr. Aleman knows that he needs to take a look at the MS numbers ASAP. I'm working on a post that details the Meeting today and that wll include more info on the MS. Thanks so much for writing and posting the comment for Middle School parents to turn in forms! Yes!
